Almost everything that surrounds and influences us is the result of human decisions. In the design process we make decisions whose consequences we have to bear, even if the design itself has long been forgotten. By intentionally realizing and refraining from making decisions, we influence the direction in which the world is changing.

This book is dedicated to the decision-making possibilities of a single image. Fixed categories and systems within these determine the number of alternatives.
